THE FRIENDS OF ST JOHN THE BAPTIST CHURCH FINDON
Helping to preserve our historic church for future generations
Welcome
The Friends of St John the Baptist Church Findon is a charitable trust
which supports the restoration, preservation, repair, maintenance and improvement of Findon Church.
This includes the monuments, fittings, fixtures, stained glass, furniture, ornaments and chattels in the church and of the churchyard.
Our only goal is to secure the long-term existence of the church and its property for the enjoyment of future generations.
Findon Sheep Fair, Saturday 14th September
The Friends had an amazingly successful day, raising just over £2,000.
We were located at the east end of the marquee, without doubt the best for any food stall with the benefit of accommodating chairs and tables
for folk to sit and relax. We sold out of burgers and sausages - plus a replenishing supply - and managed to sell some 400 cups of tea
and coffee, not to mention dozens of delicious cakes.

This was a truly remarkable day all round, only made possible by all the volunteer support we had. Thank you so much to everyone for helping out and a special note of appreciation to those that donated sausage rolls, burgers and sausages, boosting our profits by their 100% profit margin!

The Friends AGM will take place at Findon Church at 3.00 pm
on Sunday 10th November when we will run through our fundraising activities for last year and comment on this year's Fair
in view of the exceptional result.
It would be great to celebrate with as many of you as can make it
over a cream tea !
