Welcome
The Friends of St John the Baptist Church Findon is a charitable trust
which supports the restoration, preservation, repair, maintenance and improvement of Findon Church.
This includes the monuments, fittings, fixtures, stained glass, furniture, ornaments and chattels in the church and of the churchyard.
Our only goal is to secure the long-term existence of the church and its property for the enjoyment of future generations.
EVENTS
HOW YOU CAN HELP
VINTAGE & CLASSIC CAR & MOTORBIKE RALLY
Bank Holiday Sunday 25th May witnessed a highly successful car rally at Findon Place resulting in a profit of just over £1,600.00. This will help
towards the cost of current (note the scaffolding on the bell tower!) and future renovations at
St John The Baptist Church.
Lovely hot weather, wonderful refreshments provided by many kind volunteers enabled spectators to view over 30 classic and vintage cars and motorcycles kindly lent by proud owners.
Thank you to all who helped at and supported this event and heartfelt thanks to Caroline of Findon Place for allowing us to hold our event at her beautiful property.

FINDON SHEEP FAIR 2025
Despite the damp start to the day, attendance at the Friends’ refreshment stall exceeded expectations and we are delighted to report that we raised over £800.00. Our offering of teas, coffees, cakes, scones, and sausage rolls was complemented by hot dogs and burgers during the lunch period. This achievement, in helping raise funds for the upkeep of our church, was due to the selfless assistance of our many volunteers, too many to thank here, but we know who you are! Also a big thank you to the many visitors who bought refreshments from us. Our volunteers commented on how much they enjoyed participation, especially the friendly conversations with visitors to our stand.
The Committee extends its warmest thanks to all who bought from and volunteered at its stand, for without you, it would not have been possible.
