THE FRIENDS OF ST JOHN THE BAPTIST CHURCH FINDON
Helping to preserve our historic church for future generations
The Friends of St John the Baptist Church Findon is a charitable trust which supports the restoration, preservation, repair, maintenance and improvement of Findon Church.
This includes the monuments, fittings, fixtures, stained glass, furniture, ornaments and chattels in the church and of the churchyard. Our only goal is to secure the long-term existence of the church and its property for the enjoyment of future generations.
GOLF DAY - MAY 23
On Friday 19th May Hill Barn Golf Club in Worthing was the venue for a very successful event held in support of the Friends.
Some 20 players, plus guests for the evening meal, witnessed a great day’s golf rounded off with an excellent meal at Hill Barn. As always, the raffle was very well supported and this year we also auctioned a four-ball voucher to play at Hill Barn, donated by the Club, and an original wooden shafted putting iron - complete with certificate of authentication - from St. Andrew, the home of golf. Our grateful thanks to The Black Horse which sponsored this event and very kindly provided the winner’s trophy. We were able to raise approximately £600.00 for the Friends of St. John’s charity.
Our thanks go to all who took part.
